Volunteer Planning Meeting

EVENT:  2010 Indianapolis Tax Day Tea Party

NOTE:  Pizza, Beverages & Dessert will be provided.

WORKING COMMITTEES:

Donation Team:  These persons will work in teams to collect donations from businesses in Indinaapolis and the outlying communities.

Flier Distribution:  These persons will pick up fliers from a distribution point and take them to businesses in their communities for posting.

Hospitality Team:  These persons will arrive early on the day of the tea party and man stations to provide information and assistance for attendees.

Merchandise Sales: These persons will man tables selling our tea party merchandise on the day of the event.

Political Booths: These persons will help plan spaces (& implement the plan) for candidates who want to have a booth on the sidewalk for the event.

Security:  These persons will coordinate to provide crowd control support for the hired professional security team and Capitol police. 

Sign Painting:  These persons will host 3-4 sign painting parties at differnt locations around the City to enourage citizens to get acquainted with the tea party movement and to provide colorful signs for the event.

Set-Up & Break Down Crew:  These persons will work to make sure the physical components needed to host the event are in place (trash receptacles, barriers, handicapped seating, staging, etc.), and wiill help break those down after the event.
