News You Can Use for 4-15 Rally!
LOCATION: Indiana Statehouse, 200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis IN 46204 (WEST SIDE)
TIME: Starts 5:00 PM
WHAT TO BRING: PEOPLE (as many as possible!); Signs, Flags (USA or other patriotic), chair, water bottle, camera, raingear/jacket, gloves, layered clothing, etc. DONATIONS: Cash or check made out to "Indianapolis Tea Party"!
SEATING: Please bring YOUR OWN lawnchairs or a blanket.
HOSPITALITY TEAM: Volunteers wearing red aprons will be stationed throughout to answer your questions & assist you in any way they can.
BATHROOM FACILITIES: Port-o-Potties, including handicap accessible, will be available on the NW Corner of Washington Street and Senate.
FOOD/BEVERAGES: There will be no food or beverages for sale as part of the event. Please respect no littering laws if you bring your own!
SECURITY: This is a family-friendly rally. Please see RULES FOR A PEACEFUL RALLY below. Security provided by Capitol Police, Indianapolis Police, Hired Private Security, and Volunteer Team.
PERMITS, etc.: The Indianapolis Tea Party has secured the proper permits, paid the fees for the use of the Capitol grounds, hired the appropriate security, and met requirements by the City of Indianapolis and the Capitol management.

RULES for a PEACEFUL RALLY:
- NO solicitation of printed materials without purchasing a booth from the Indianapolis Tea Party.
- No sales of merchandise allowed except at purchased booths.
- SIGNS: No sticks (Capitol grounds rule); no vulgar wording or symbols; wording must pertain to the theme of the rally--CONSTITUTION REVOLUTION!
- Take the high road...be CIVIL at all times. Avoid conflicts and any physical contact with any opponents.
- Do not block sidewalks & streets with your bodies or signs.
- No violence, no racism, no law-breaking.
- Treat Law Enforcement Officers with respect.
- Do not leave any trash (except in receptables) on the grounds of the Capitol or streets & sidewalks of Indianapolis.

RALLY SIGN IDEAS & RULES:
- Foam board is best. Purchase at $1 Store; Wal-mart; or Office Supply Stores.
- Yellow Signs show up best.
- Use Acrylic Paint with a sponge brush. Colors are more saturated and read better than when using markers. In addition, acrylic paint does not run if the sign gets wet. Apple Barrel brand paints are inexpensive and may be purchased at Michael's.
- Paint phrases on both sides of board. People & photographers behind you will have something to read!
- Sticks may not be used on sign boards on the Capitol property.
- NO vulgar language or inappropriate symbols allowed.
- Slogans should reflect the Constitution -- fiscal responsibility, accountable representation, limited government.
